PCS Home Health Care Certificate
Throughout this course you get a broad overview of Developmental Disabilities that are common with children. You will understand the cause, treatment, prognosis, and how to work with children with each of these diagnosis:
- Autism
- Asperger's
- Rett Syndrome
- Down Syndrome
- Intellectual Disability
- Cerebral Palsy
- Epilepsy
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Fetal Alcohol Effect
You will also learn what they different stages of typical development are and will be able to understand what behaviors and abilities are age appropriate. Within this course you will learn how people in the state of Idaho qualify for Personal Care Services, and you will be able to explain that process to someone else.
You will understand about the Nursing plan of care and how to document on your paperwork associated with this plan of care.
You will understand what the role of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional is, how they write programs, take data and what interaction you may have with them in your agency.
In addition you will learn what other services in the state of Idaho, your clients may be eligible to receive. It will help give you a broader understanding of everything that could benefit your client and will make your knowledge on these subjects an asset to your agency and the family you work with.
This course has been approved by the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare for 9 CEU’s, within those 9, 6 are Behavioral CEU’s.

Habilitative Support Course
Throughout this course you get a broad overview of Developmental Disabilities that are common with children. You will understand the cause, treatment, prognosis, and how to work with children with each of these diagnosis:

You will also learn what they different stages of typical development are and will be able to understand what behaviors and abilities are age appropriate.
Within this course you will learn how people in the state of Idaho qualify for Developmental Disability Services, and you will be able to explain that process to someone else. You will understand what Habilitative Intervention and Habilitative Supports are and and their purpose within the spectrum of services for those with Developmental Disabilities.
The section titled Evidence-Based Practices goes into all of the approved EBP's that are approved by the state of Idaho to utilize in Habilitative Intervention training. Each different one will be described and examples provided so you can adequately understand and put into practice these different techniques while working with your clients.
In addition you will learn what other services in the state of Idaho, your clients may be eligible to receive. It will help give you a broader understanding of everything that could benefit your client and will make your knowledge on these subjects an asset to your agency and the family you work with.
